Internal Uses Beneficial for the treatment of:
Defence against bronchial infections, colds, debility, exhaustion, constipation, diarrhoea and mild kidney, gall bladder and bladder issues, urinary tract infections. Good source of Vitamin C and general immune system boosting tonic.
External Uses Apply a warm herbal press to sores and skin irritations or filter into a hot bath.
Other For horses promotes hoof and coat health, feed maximum 1 tablespoon per day.
Preparation Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 2 heaped teaspoons of Rosehips. Cover and infuse for 10-15 mins and strain. Sweeten with honey or a sweet herb if desired. Drink warm before bed for maximum effectiveness.
Hot compress: Put 1-2 teaspoons of Rosehips into a facecloth, wrap and dip into ½ a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. Allow to cool enough not to burn the skin, squeeze excess water from the facecloth and apply to affected area.
