Properties Diuretic, choleretic, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, cholagogue, demulcent, digestive, emollient, purgative, refrigerant, revolvent, sedative, stomachic and tonic.
Internal Uses Beneficial for the treatment of:
Liver disorders, high blood pressure, colds, catarrh of the respiratory tracts, bilious conditions, fever, loss of appetite, constipation, high blood cholesterol. Strong antioxidant. Enhances the retention of the skin’s hydric content, thus makes it useful against the effects of aging. Useful to inhibit elastase and hyaluronidase.
External Uses May restore your hair’s natural barrier, rehydrate the keratin fibers and regenerate its structure. It can also help with dandruff.
Use for skin eczemas and other skin conditions. Filter into a hot bath.
Preparation 1-2 teaspoons of herb in 1 cup of boiling water. Cover and infuse for 10-15 minutes. Strain. Drink 2-3 times per day. Sweeten with honey or sweet herbs if desired.
